This year Amie is teaching ballet, jazz, tap, hip hop, acro, and lyrical. She has trained extensively in a variety of styles including ballet, jazz, contemporary, lyrical, stage, hip hop, and tap. She is a graduate of Dance Co, having danced there for eight years before attending the University of British Columbia. In 2015 she received her B.A. in Psychology specializing in childhood development and sports psychology. During her time at UBC she had the opportunity to be a part of the collegiate cheerleading team as well as an all-star team which fostered a love for acro, tumbling, and stunting. She has participated in various national and international competitions and also attended the World Cheerleading Championships representing Canadian cheerleading in 2014. Amie has also coached competitive rhythmic gymnastics for the past four years and has been able to bring that knowledge of strength and flexibility to her students here at Dance Co. Amie is very excited to be back teaching at Dance Co for her fifth season and is looking forward to bringing her diverse knowledge to the students in her classes.
