Proper dance attire allows instructors to observe posture and proper body placement during dance class. Our uniform helps our students to notice one another for what they do as a dancer instead of how they are dressed. All students are required to wear the appropriate uniform as set by Dance Co. Vancouver Dance Supply, our store at our Arbutus location, carries all required uniforms for purchase. There are specific styles required for different levels and disciplines. This uniform must be worn to classes and no other attire will be accepted. Students dancing in competition programs should purchase a minimum of two of each required item and enough pairs of tights to ensure they have clean uniforms for every class. Below is a detailed listing of the Dance Co uniform requirements. Uniforms for adult classes are optional, however prescribed shoes are required.
