Ana Oioli

Ana was born and raised in Barra Bonita, Brazil, where she starts dancing at the age of 4. She moved to São Paulo when she was 16 years old to work with Camilla Pupa and advance her ballet training.
When she was 17 years old, she got a scholarship to the Heinz-Bosl Stiftung in Munich, Germany, where she graduated after 3 years with a Master of Arts. Ana performed with the Bayerisches Staatsballett and Magdeburg Ballet in productions such as Giselle, Swan Lake, Romeo and Juliet, and Sleeping Beauty. After her graduation she got a contract with the Thuering Ballett, where she performed for 2 years. She met Mr. Li Yaming, former director at Coastal City Ballet (CCB), while in Brazil and he invited her to be part of the company in 2012. With CCB, Ana performed choreographies by Ben Stevenson, Li Yaming, and lead roles in Irene Schneider’s Giselle, Swan Lake, Cinderella, Midsummer Night’s Dream, and Coppelia. She also had a principal contract with Connecticut Ballet in 2016, where she performed the lead role in Cinderella and Snow Queen in Nutcracker.
Ana has been teaching ballet, pointe, and repertoire since 2014. She was part of the artistic staff of CCB between 2018 and 2022, and during this period she was appointed company director and afterwards assistant artistic director by Katrina Bois. Ana’s overall repertoire includes a various number of classical variations, competitions, and adjudication in Canada, Germany, and Brazil.
She was the only Brazilian accepted to compete at the IBC Varna International Competition in 2014. Previously, she has performed in many competitions, receiving 3rd place at the Joinville International Ballet competition and 3rd place at the Grand Prix Capezio Brazil.
