Shannon Harris is a highly experienced dance educator with a wealth of accomplishments. With over 20 years of teaching experience, she has honed her skills in Canada and the UK. Shannon's educational background includes a Dance Diploma from Grant MacEwan College, a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree with a major in Dance from Simon Fraser University, and an Associate Diploma from the Cecchetti Society of Canada. She had the privilege of training at prestigious institutions such as the London Studio Centre, Laban Centre, and with London Contemporary dancers while in England. Additionally, Shannon obtained her Associate Teaching Credentials from esteemed examiners and master teachers at City University London Campus. To enhance her expertise, she has taken courses on anatomy, injury prevention, choreography, dance history, music, and classroom management techniques.

Staying current and seeking inspiration from industry leaders, Miss Shannon actively participates in professional development opportunities. She has attended the National Ballet School of Canada's teachers summer seminars, Dance Life Conferences, and continuously upgrades her PBT certification. Since returning to Vancouver, Shannon has taught at various studios throughout the lower mainland and achieved her Associate Diploma. Furthermore, she has dedicated the past few years to coaching and training students for the Youth American Grand Prix ballet competition, resulting in her students' impressive achievements and even earning her a faculty award from the competition itself. Shannon's choreography across multiple disciplines has garnered numerous awards, establishing her as a respected, versatile, and sought-after instructor, coach, and mentor.

Despite her many accolades, Miss Shannon takes great pride in her students' accomplishments. Whether her students pursue professional careers, become teachers, or simply maintain a love and appreciation for the arts, Shannon invests her utmost dedication to help each individual achieve their personal best. She fosters growth through hard work, high expectations, and a supportive atmosphere, always infused with humor and respect for all.
