Heather’s work has been shown at the Vancouver International Dance Festival, Dance All Sorts, Pop Up Dances, The Dance Centre (Vancouver) Eco Fashion Week and Soundbites Festival in New York City. The premiere of her new full length contemporary dance piece “The Tunnel” will be presented by New Works at The Roundhouse Theatre, April 2017 in Vancouver. Heather entered into the world of Arts & Entertainment through acting at a young age. She was able to work in Film & TV, Voice Over and Print while represented by Characters Talent Management in Vancouver. She soon found a deep connection to dance that lead her to train with Suzanne Ouellette at Arts Umbrella. Heather auditioned and was excepted to attended professional ballet school in Montreal, Quebec (L’Ecole Superieur de Danse du Quebec) from the ages of 12-14 years. She returned to Vancouver to continue training with the Goh Ballet Professional Division and toured with them to France and China twice, performing works from Joffrey Ballet choreographers to such classics as Paquita. During this time she learned from choreographers Rachael Poirier and Bill Robertson before moving to Toronto. In Toronto she began working in musical theatre and honing her singing skills. She landed her first chorus role in a Charlottetown musical where she understudied the lead. She then sang in three original musicals for Disney Cruise Lines playing such roles as Cinderella, Belle, Meg and more. Heather continued to work in musical theatre as she danced in Film & TV and was acting in independent films. After 5 years in Toronto Heather returned to Vancouver where she was able to play a multitude of characters on screen and in plays.
